Monochromatic Man

This is the perfect photo challenge to start this blog on. Even inanimate objects, seemingly stuck in a timeless dimension, hold depth in their eyes. Monochromatic with regards to changing over time, but multidimensional in at least three other ways.

A sculpture from the Louve in Paris, France looks directly at you with two different eyes. Resembles a mummy. Missing a nose
Which eye has you?

What a surreal moment, when an artists steps back to gaze upon their work, only to find themselves watched as well, judged by their own creation. It’s a powerful moment when an artist realizes that what they have made has taken on a life of its own, the depth of feeling shared, projecting beyond the limitations of the artist’s hands.
